Cheapest month to fly to Dubai from the UK
Last updated 29 October 2026 · by the HopCheap team
Dubai's prices follow two things: the weather and UK school holidays. The cheapest months are the hottest ones, and the best weather comes at peak prices. But there are value windows in between. This guide gives you the patterns. Use the live search buttons for current fares, because prices change daily.
✦ Search live fares: “Cheapest month to fly to Dubai from London”Month by month
- January: after New Year, prices usually fall back. Mid-January to early February is often one of the best-value windows for good weather (mid-20s °C).
- February: half-term week is expensive. Weeks either side can be reasonable. Great weather.
- March: warm and pleasant, and popular. Prices rise around Easter if it's early. Ramadan sometimes falls in this period, which can reduce prices.
- April: getting hot (often 30°C+). Prices start to drop after Easter.
- May: hot. Hotel prices fall and flight fares often soften.
- June–August: typically the cheapest hotels of the year, with summer deals and promotions. Temperatures regularly exceed 40°C. Fine for pools, malls and indoor attractions, hard for anything outdoors. UK summer holiday demand can keep flights pricier, especially in August.
- September: still very hot, and often good value after schools go back.
- October: warming up in popularity. Half-term week costs more.
- November: early November (before the big events season and outside half-term) can be excellent value with lovely weather.
- December: early December can be reasonable. Christmas to New Year is the most expensive time of the year.
The best-value sweet spots
If you want good weather at a fair price, look at:
- Early to mid November (outside half-term).
- Mid-January to early February.
- Early March (outside school holidays).
If budget matters more than weather, June and September often have the lowest hotel prices.
✦ Search live fares: “Dubai in mid January for 2 from Manchester”Flights: other ways to save
- Compare UK airports: Emirates flies to Dubai from London and several regional airports, including Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and Newcastle. See our Newcastle–Dubai guide.
- Try one-stop routes: via Istanbul, Doha, Abu Dhabi or European hubs. They're sometimes cheaper, but longer.
- Fly into Abu Dhabi: see our Abu Dhabi guide. It's around 1.5 hours away by road.
- Midweek departures: often cheaper than weekends.
- Packages: UK tour operator packages to Dubai can be very competitive and include ATOL protection.
Events that push prices up
Big events can raise hotel prices sharply: major trade shows, the Dubai Airshow (in odd years), big sporting events and the Christmas and New Year period. When planning, check Dubai's events calendar for your dates.
Ramadan
Ramadan dates move earlier by around 10–11 days each year. During Ramadan, some hotels discount prices, and eating and drinking in public during daylight is restricted (rules have relaxed in recent years, but be respectful). Iftar evenings can be a great experience.
How far in advance to book
For peak weeks (Christmas, half-terms), book early, often several months ahead. For off-peak dates, good fares can appear a few weeks to a couple of months out. Use flexible-date searching to see a whole month at once (see our flexible date tips).
Daily costs
Save on the ground by using the metro, staying in Deira, Bur Dubai or Al Barsha, and eating at local cafés. See our Dubai budget guide.
What does a budget trip look like?
To use this guide well, start with a whole-month view in the search rather than fixed dates. Shortlist the cheapest three or four departure days, then check hotel prices for each, because in Dubai the hotel often moves the total more than the flight. Next, check the events calendar for those dates. Finally, compare a package for the same dates. If you're tied to school holidays, the October and February half-terms are usually less expensive than Christmas, and booking well ahead gives you the most choice.
Before you book: a quick checklist for Dubai
- Compare dates: check a whole month of fares, not just one date. A few days' difference can change the price a lot (see our flexible date tips).
- Count the extras: add bags, seats and airport transfers to the fare before comparing options.
- Check entry rules: read the latest FCDO advice for your destination on GOV.UK, including passport validity.
- Sort insurance early: buy travel insurance when you book, so cancellation cover starts straight away.
- Plan data and money: sort a travel eSIM and a fee-free card before you leave (see our eSIM and money guides).
- Read the partner's terms: the booking site handles your booking and payment, so check its price, baggage and cancellation terms before you pay.
