Hurghada all-inclusive on a budget from the UK
Updated October 2026 · by the HopCheap team
Hurghada on Egypt's Red Sea coast is one of the cheapest places to get guaranteed winter sun and an all-inclusive from the UK. Flights take around 5 hours.
Getting there
Direct flights run from many UK airports, mostly with leisure and low-cost airlines (such as Jet2, TUI and easyJet) — winter schedules are usually the busiest. Compare a package with a flight + hotel booked separately: packages can be good value and, if sold by a UK ATOL-protected company, give extra protection.

- Winter (Nov–Mar): warm days (often low-to-mid 20s°C), sea still swimmable, best for UK escapes — but school holidays push prices up.
- Spring/autumn: hot and great for snorkelling.
- Summer: very hot (often 35°C+), sometimes cheaper.
Where to stay
Hurghada town and Sahl Hasheesh/Makadi Bay are popular; Makadi and Soma Bay are quieter with more resort-style hotels. Read recent reviews about food and the house reef — a hotel with good snorkelling from the beach saves boat-trip costs.
Visa and safety
British visitors need a visa for Egypt — available on arrival or as an e-visa. Fees and rules change, so check the FCDO Egypt advice before you go.
Budget tips
- Bring small notes for tips — tipping is expected.
- Book excursions (Giftun Island, desert trips) with reputable operators and compare prices.
- Drink bottled water; many all-inclusives include it.
